Fine-grained and Homogeneous casting aluminum alloy
National Engineering Technology Research Center for Non-ferrous Metals Composite creativelyinvented the new melt processing method of annular strong electromagnetic stirring and integrated itwith semi-continuous casting technology, which solved the casting technical problems of fine-grained and homogeneous casting for the large volume and high alloying aluminum alloy, achieved effective control of the microstructure and properties of the alloy. The various technical indicators of fine-grained and homogeneous aluminum alloy billet have reached the leading domestic level. And the semi-solid billet of Al-Si aluminum alloy has already achieved the import substitution, the batch production and the application effect is remarkable. The maximum diameter of large volume and high alloying aluminum alloy billet reached 584mm, the organizationand properties have been successfully passed the three party testing and some products have been applied in aerospace.
